Fall 2025 Election GOTV Campaign
🗳 Yes, AliefVotes was active during the fall 2025 election! See our results.
During the Fall 2025 election season, AliefVotes led a comprehensive, non-partisan Get Out The Vote campaign that reached thousands of community members across Southwest Houston's diverse Alief community. In collaboration with Redstone, the League of Women Voters of Houston, and Mi Familia en Acción, our student-led team educated voters about the 17 Texas State Propositions, City Council At-Large 4 Race, and Alief ISD Board of Trustees through multiple strategic channels. Our signature youth civic engagement workshop became our largest relational organizing event to date, engaging over 150 attendees and partnering with 20 local non-profit organizations. Through eight strategic social media posts, we achieved over 25,000 total views and reached more than 8,200 unique accounts, with our ballot education content performing exceptionally well, including our "What's on the Ballot" post that alone generated 4,612 views and reached 1,468 unique viewers. Combined with targeted phone banking and text banking campaigns that contacted hundreds of voters, our multi-faceted approach demonstrated the power of youth-led civic engagement in building a more informed and participatory democracy in the Alief community.
General 2024 Election GOTV Campaign

Alief is a vibrant community, rich in cultural diversity and resilience, but we face significant challenges when it comes to voter turnout. Historically, Alief has had low propensity voter turnout, meaning many of our neighbors don’t head to the polls. This leaves our community underrepresented in critical decisions that shape our future. AliefVotes was created to change that by empowering Alief ISD students and residents through civic education, voter registration, and engagement efforts.

Our mission is simple: to build a stronger, more informed community where every voice matters. By addressing barriers to voting and engaging our youth, we can help shift the culture of political apathy into one of active participation.
